Porcelain Anniversary
June 30, 2009

Picture
We had our first date/dinner here about 18 years ago.  It was a marathon first date - 15 hours long.  From U. Hawaii and he drove his Vespa to the west shore to Electric beach.  One of the best snorkeling place on Oahu.   There are huge submerged exhaust water tubes for the electrical plant.  It is covered with a large abundance of coral growth and inhabited by many species of tropical fish.  For our first date, we saw turtles and rays. Driving further west, we saw a school of dolphins.  At Yokohama, we ditched the Vespa to hike to Kaena point.  With no food and water, we just laughed the whole trail probably due to dehydration.
We did not return to Honolulu until after 8pm.  Looking back, it was extremely dangerous to drive a scooter back to town in the dark.  We were in our 20's.  We did not know any better.
When we got to Auntie Pastos, we were famished.  We stayed at the restaurant until we were the last people left.
Wow!  That was 18 years ago!
